Really?? Could you possibly post pictures? My problem right now is that my filter is so long it's touching my radiator, and the alternator too for that matter.

I will see if I have some but they would be without the heat shield. Let me look.

This is all I have at this time. This was before I got the car running so excuse the mess of an engine bay.

Well whenever you get a chance I would appreciate to see photos of the setup with the intake heat shield. Thanks!

I see the pictures haha. I thought you were going to show photos of the shield, that's what I want to see, the shield. Someone else might have something to offer.

I wish your E30 was here in town! Thanks again though! :D

Its just a piece of metal that I cut a hole in for the intake and then used a piece of paper to make a templet. Then I cut the metal out to fit it and bent a piece to cover the rest. I can help you make one if you want. I am only 15 minutes away from you.

Actually yeah that'd be cool. Maybe next weekend or something? I'll PM you sometime this week and we can arrange that. Thanks!

I'm interested in this too. I've got my air filter directly on the AFM. My understanding is that with the filter directly on the AFM it creates a turbulent airflow and negatively affects performance.

The issue becomes how to space the filter away from the AFM but fit it under the hood with the ABS, CC, expansion tank and craft a heat shield.

It would be great to have people with ABS, CC and the expansion take post their set up. Thanks
