14k miles of drifting/towing abuse. Just bumped rev limiter up to 7400. Hit it a few times over the course of a week or two and this happenend:

You could also get it rebuilt and beefed up (more straps) and more grip if you want. Great work at a good price here:

I've been tracking my S50 car successfully for 3 years on an oem sachs m20 clutch.

drifting is very abusive on clutches.

I had 14k miles of drift/towing/etc on it. I believe it was the upped rev limiter that finally killed it.

Dont put a m20 clutch/pressure plate on your S/m52. just because it last a while for some, not a good enough reason to use it in the first place. its not worth it. an M20 clutch kit is obviously not strong enough for a 24V. hear's my failed m20 clutch, also broke while drifting.

What can M20 flywheel owners do? Ive been looking for a clutch kit. I want to go with the clutch net option because of the price but I know the FI guys on bimmerfroums moved from clutchnet to southbend and southbend doesnt have a M20 option.

                Any ideas?

I have been very abusive on my clutch on my last m20 and it still held up strong after 30k km, right before engine gave out.

I have never had oem clutch problems with drifting/stupid stuff on any of my three m20 engines.

In my opinion people just misunderstand the whole drifting concept, that's why many of them are experiencing these problems.

My stock Sachs is holding up fine on my M20 turbo and it makes more power than a S50/S52.

I'm running an s52 clutch kit and flywheel on my m20. Mainly because it was cheaper then getting an m20 kit
