I'm worried pedal will be too hard. And with added power it will have I don't want to make them worse...

Ok fitted the ford festiva brake booster. A friend had modified the end of the intake by cutting and welding so it didn't touch the brake booster. I will need to do the same but just wondering is there a reason why I can't cut and weld the actual booster instead of cutting the intake manifold??

It will be harder, but your brain/foot will adjust the pressure needed after a few minutes. I drive normal cars 99.9% of the time, but when I get in the e30 I don't even think about the harder brake pedal.

Thanks Eric, ill give the festive booster a chance before doing a booster delete.

can anyone shed light on cutting and welding bit of booster off?

                hi guys,

just wondering if using an M42 radiator combined with the 16"spal fan will be enough to keep the car cool? im thinking of using that radiator in order to keep engine bay tidier and not have the overflow tank...

also as i wont be running AC (removed aux fan) do i wire my Spal fan to the original Aux fan wiring or??

I would not run an M42 radiator in a hot climate. It is best paired with a lower output engine. Lower amperage fans can be hooked up to the stock aux fan wiring.

                    bit more progress:

                    oil cooler mounted

intake manifold has been trimmed to accomodate the brake booster

hi guys got a question about the charcoal canister hoses to make sure im doing it right..

the hose that used to run from top of the charcoal canister and plug into the Air box (in my E30 M3) now is meant to go into the fuel tank breather valve right?

the other hose that goes into the breather valve is the one coming from the hose sitting on top of the IVC yeah?

There is a delete piece used if desiring to omit it

Level switch is not needed for engine swap; level switch goes to the check control on a e34

The function is neat on an e34; if you are low it will tell you right after turning off the engine. Im not sure how it could be retained on an e30 although I've heard if it being done.

The most important thing in a 24v swap is to not plug in the cam position sensor to the oil level switch - car won't start and one will be very confused

The oil level switch will work with the check control in E30 too. If your car already has the check control then you can reuse the existing wires. Or you can leave it unplugged no problem.
