All the ones that look like that are the same and made in same factory in Asia.

Those are both priced high you should be able to get them for around $100 shipped.

Thanks but the one in the link is 1.75" diameter versus 2" for the ones that cost $140

This. I bought mine for about 105 shipped and just had them ceramic coated locally.

            read this

They're 2.00" all the way to the very end when ONE side necks down to 1.75." I think it's an advertising issue... if you do what I did, they end up being 2" the whole way - which is really too large anyway.

I have a question for guys with Raceland headers: how did you get them to fit? I'm on revshift mounts, and the motor is already inunfortunately.. Any ideas? It's really close, but it keeps hitting either the head, or the engine mount arm. It's an S50 btw if that makes any bit of a difference.

I have raceland headers and they were kind of a pain to fit. I removed the heatshield on the engine mount arm and filed down about 3 mm of the arm material. Still have slight issue with the swaybar too

I went with the speed daddy headers for my s50 swap, They (barely) went in with minimal fuss.
Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested in picking these up, the exit pipes do not point straight, I had to do some heating and bending to get a y-pipe on there, and they way they are set up makes it a giant bitch to tighten down the passenger side motor mount. With my set up (condor speed shop solid mounts) the header runs very, very close to the subframe, depending on what mounts you use, there might be some interference. For the ~$110 shipped I paid for them, not too bad of a deal though.

I think I have the same ones as bonobo. I cut the longer header after the collector and put another flange there to make it easier to remove. I had to widen the holes on the head flange and heat it to clear but it fits fine now.

We just installed Racelands on very nice S52 swap car... and that was the LAST time we install Racelands on any E30 swap car. They were a nightmare to deal with and our welder said that the welds on agent's headers were better quality than the Racelands.

Stick to the eBay headers, they fit fine.

I call bullshit. I have not specifically dealt with the longtube Racelands, but I own the shorties & the eBay headers - the Racelands are MUCH better quality by a mile. Don't believe me? I did a quick write up comparing them.

Also, the eBay headers use extremely light gauge stainless steel which contributes to a horribly raspy exhaust note. The shorty Racelands were heavier than the longtube eBay headers...

Other than the rasp that the long tubes tend to give, where is the quality issues? They are a thinner metal, yes, but do you ever hear of them cracking? Not really. They have thinner flanges, and might not be flat, but they cost $100 bucks, what do you expect? Bring them to a belt sander and make them flat, total cost another $10? They fit without having to hack them to shit. Everybody already knows they are a tight fit and should be mounted with the engine out. I'll take the long tubes any day.

These are the $110 manifolds. Raspy? I don't think that are at all.

Edit: Recorded on a d3200 with internal microphone so the sounds not the best. It's much deeper in person. The people that road with me to bimmerfest can vouch.

My point is that between the competing longtube brands, I'd be inclined to choose the Raceland longtubes over the cheap eBay ones assuming the longtube Racelands have a similar build quality to the Raceland shorty's.

you have a bit more exhaust than I have which I'm sure helps. The eBay headers have a rattle (when the O2 plug is loose) and sound to them even when they're not installed that is just bad. The thin metal in the headers vibrates and gives it that annoying rasp which requires an additional muffler or resonator to remove. The "bad" part of the sound is largely removed by upgrading to better headers. And I don't know, but I hate installing cheap crap on my car. The ebay headers feel cheap & I feel guilty installing them (even though they're temporary on my car).
