What is the best Aux Fan?

What is the best Aux fan to use? Did my conversion with no problems so far with the exception of the A/C. At night it runs cool but during the day not and I notice the temperature gauge climbing.

I need to fix this permanently. The factory Aux works fine (I think) but makes a lot of noise.

Would a new modern fan do a better job and what would be the best option?

    Thanks

use the factory a/c aux fan in front of the radiator and use the european aux fan mounts from a car with no a/c to mount it. all factory parts and works perfectly. if you get the lower fan switch for your car it should come on early and work pretty well. that's how i plan to do it

      Forget that.

Go grab yourself a 16" SPAL fan. Forever cool.

Why not go with a curve blades? They say they provide a reduction in noise.

you can spend much more for a curved blade if you want, but thats by far the best deal ive seen for CFM per dollar

Took your advice and got the fan. I am going to install it this weekend and post the outcome.

I have a SPAL 16" fan. It pushes 2800cfm. I love it other than the fact that when it kicks on it sounds like my car is going to take flight. REALLY LOUD, but worth it if it keeps the engine cool.

Do you have a part number for that? I can't find one...

                      EDIT: Nm, I got it.

What sort of thickness can you get away with for an electric fan with the twin cam swap? I notice the 16" Spal fan is about 3.3" deep...but how much deeper could you go? Our locally produced 16" fans are about 4".

Its really going to depend on your setup. Is the fan going to be a pusher or puller?

You might have trouble fitting it if its a puller, if it fits at all.

And are you going to have A/C? If not, you'll most likey be alright. I couldn't tell you if you do have A/C.

The E36 fan is a hell of a lot quieter than the E30 ones. Its the curved blades.

Being said, if you got the dough get the aftermarket.
                            Im now E30less.
