o2 sensor placement s52/obd2

Hey guys, I just installed my first motor! (s52) and I was wondering where the o2 sensors should be placed? motor is obd2 setup. Looks like accessing the o2 sensor ports on headers will be next to impossible with motor in :/

Using stock OBD2 manifolds or headers? You might be able to fit one in your headers and have a bung welded in your down pipe for an 02 sensor, if you can't get the other.

I was able to fit one 02 sensor in my Supersprint header, but it was damn tight.

you can put them on the sides after the collectors. you just don't want them with the sensor end pointing up or at the bottom of the pipe.

Curious, why not pointed up or down? I have an ODBI S52 and the O2 sensor is pointed straight up after the collector.

it can point down it just doesn't normally fit that way.

pointed up is bad because at the bottom of the tube water can collect and damage the sensor.
