Id vote for no on a street car, I have no lights and grills are held on ok for a race car but it just wouldn't work on the street with out adding enough weight and brackets to make it worth it imo. It does make pulling the engine oh so easy

Of course you can. I plan to when my m50 gets dropped in! I hope for traction control and boost control too.

Has anyone ever though of creating some complete engine bay covers?

                Like this Bentley?

it wouldn't be to difficult to create out of fiberglass going from the fenders all the way to the motor (the intake manifold and valve cover are very square unlike the m20/m30 style manifolds), would this cause any overheating issues?

^hahahaha at the engine cover shit. every time i see a new cars engine covered in plastic i think about how much i hate that stuff. motors should be nice to look at, not covered up!

motor is easily seen, its just the shock towers and all that are covered up, it would make it a nice easy way to have a more modern engine bay, since the S/M5X motors are all plastic and black on the top to begin with i would think this would be appropriate, to me it looks a little strange to have such a modern all plastic looking engine in a classic engine bay...

that's the beauty of engine swaps, plus it's just more shit to take off when you need to work on something in the bay. I personally like the way it looks, but to each his own
