I'd skip the 944 booster and look for an e32 735i booster and master in junkyards. Cheap and supposedly much better feel (that's what I'm using though my cars still in pieces).
Help me proof my swap before I dive in

I believe I saw an E32 735 being parted on CL just the other day.91 318is M50 swapped

Yeah the 318is cable works perfectly. You can just use the brown engine temp sensor off of your M42 as well. Also if you're not running A/C and keep the pulley off, remember to throw some spacers on the bolts so they don't hit the timing case cover. There is very little clearance.Comment

I did the same swap. I LOVE the NV in a e30.SEE THE MOST BORING M50NV BUILD THREAD HERE: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=288275Comment

Glad to hear! I've gone through your thread a few times. I'm coming from an M42 so the difference in low end torque especially should be noticeable. Last of the parts I need were ordered today (yea right, I'm sure I forgot something).91 318is M50 swapped

A couple things:
Yes, 16" spal will work on a m42 rad.
And Nando's work isn't proven as it had a few wires crossed on mine(which I'm sure isn't the norm), but is a good step in the right direction. Just something to keep in mind.

I didn't see it on your list but I'll mention it since I'm running the same flywheel (with a different clutch) and just got my swap running 2 weeks ago.
buy a new OEM throwout bearing, the one that came with my F1 flywheel/clutch has some chattering/squeaking like I've never heard from any other throwout before, I'm not looking forward to pulling the trans out again after such a short time of having the swap running.-Brad

Oh I'm aware of the chatter. I ordered the 14.5lb chromoly flywheel. My old SVT Focus I had a 9lb Fidanza flywheel from a 28lb dual mass. It REALLY woke the car up but chattered and sounded like a diesel.91 318is M50 swapped

Funny you mention the SVTF, I had a LWFW in my pwsc'd zx3, it didn't sound quite like this. Perhaps I'm just being too critical of the noise, functionally the car performs fine, just doesn't sound fine :) at idle-Brad

Funny you have a pwsc'd ZX3. Mine was a JRSC'ed SVT. I miss that car. You happen to be on focusfanatics? I used to be a moderator over there.91 318is M50 swapped
