Question On M52

Hey all,

I have access to a good running '97 328 for pretty cheap that's just sitting at a neighbors house and am trying to see if buying it is worth my time.

What is desirable on these cars besides the motor? How much would a freshened up longblock go for? Just trying to gauge if I can make money buying it or not. Has about 120K on it.

It's auto, so that's a down side, but I'm assuming the 2.8L would be good for a swap, especially considering it just had a HG done and such.

Any help is appreciated.

M52B28 is a great engine, they go for about $500 to $800. Other parts that are desirable are good seats, radiator, tranny parts but that one is auto so no on that.

Good to know. The car is still sitting at his house, so once I get time I pay pick it up and part it. Thanks for the heads up.
