S50 vibration at idle normal with urethane mounts

I've searched and I think I know the answer but I'd like some confirmation.

My S50 seems to be running and idling (6-700 rpms) properly and I'm getting quite a bit of vibration at idle. I've got AKG urethane mounts and IE urethane trans mounts (both are the softer versions). OEM Sachs clutch kit with F1 Racing 14 lb chromoly FW.

I have to live with it, raise the idle, or change the mounts correct?

with the solid trans mounts you will get vibration. If you use rubber with enforcer cups you will be much happier. I cant stand poly trans mounts on a street car.

That seems to be the consensus. The vibration is mostly due to the trans mounts?

Yea, I would never do it if it was a daily. I don't even like them in my weekend car.

How much is "quite a bit" of vibration? I have AKG mounts and my car vibrates a little but it's definitely not bad. I recently changed my plugs from NKG coppers to platinums and the vibration was noticeably reduced along with a smoother idle. That is a relatively cheap option you could try.

AKG poly motor mounts don't vibrate horribly (tried m20, 24v e30, and even e36 application), so my guess is the trans mounts are the culprit. Like sharky said, get the e21 rubber mounts with the enforcer cups (just did this to mine and they're working out pretty good so far...). AKG even sells them for like 75 bucks with the cups.

Enough that things rattle in the car. I can "see" the vibration in the mirrors.

The car has brand new Bosch copper plugs, the OEM ones.

I definitely noticed a difference between the two plugs. I would also try the rubber trans mounts with metal cups as mentioned above.
