what the fuck is the point, are the e36 gauges really that much more attractive than the e30 one's to you? you most likely will never get them to function 100% correctly, so is it really worth your time? also, it needs to fit into the dash, the size and shape isnt even close. more props to you if you do it, but it just seems like a huuuuge waste of time IMHO. goodluck.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
I hope you don't get too far into it then change your mind....

did u ever complete this project?
i think just for bragging rights this would be something to pursue.
i saw an e30 m3 with a s52 swap and this cluster and it looked awesome, numbers and lighting is so much clearer looks more like a digital screen.
There was an E30 in Total BMW a few years back that did this, it looked fucking awesome. He did state in the article though that it was a nightmare.
I remember reading that article; I thought it was a waste of time, effort, and money. It looked so so. I dont think the e36 dash looks any better than the e30 one.
e30 and the e36 cluster are 80% identical other then the shape and the digital trip meter/ODO
you literally cant shove a round peg in a square hole and have it look ok... this mod is 5000% retarded... and i will bet the JJ has -200% chance of getting it to work since he had a hard time getting an m50 to run
