Zf issues

S52 e30, I'm sure it's been covered. Maybe a million times my zf blew up screw that thing. Will my uuc m5 hybrid clutch work with my g260 with or without modification.

what happened to your ZF? which starter are you running currently?

I know that you can run s50 clutch on G260 (s50/m50 starter) without mods. Several people have done it in the past.

perhaps if you applied a better attitude towards your gearbox it would not blow up?



the getrag isn't any stronger...........and much older.

Thank you for your opinions 👍 the g260 works just fine I'll let you guys know how many track days it last, p.s. Having both trans now I think the zf is quite over rated and gonna use it as a boat anchor

Any word on if that clutch will work? There's one for sale locally, I wanna keep my G260 though with my S52.

Looks like everything will my buddy confirmed he has an m3 clutch in his s50 e30 with a g260

doesn't the ZF trans have a different spline size than the Getrag?

Only the 6speed has a different spline

^ correct. I think the only thing you will need to change is the pilot bearing and slave cylinder. The crankshafts are the same ID but the input shaft on the transmissions are slightly different. So use the m20 pilot and slave. 24v flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing and starter. IIRC, it has been many moons since i did my swap.

i am running the UUC kit with a getrag260. the getrag is toast, but it was a soldier for 20k miles behind an s52.
