Here are a couple photos I shot tonight, as I am at this stage right now.

      Two issues/questions:
1: Anyone have issues with the reservoir cap hitting the hood? Mine looks close...
2: Did you guys bend your brake line coming out of the ABS unit?

I'd be curious to know myself.

How did you guys go about hooking up the cruise cable to the S50 throttle body?

ya that's about the same method I used when putting cruise on a buddies 87 with an s50. But used some vacuum hose adapters cut down in between the threaded adjuster.

Hmm. So on the track, you set cruise at around 120 mph on the straights, then press cancel so you can brake for the turn, then press resume after the apex? Sounds like a plan! (j/k)

                  :D

                    i

did that on another one of my cars too. but the threaded adjuster stuck out too far and ran the potential of binding up on something at full throttle.

Isn't there a wire to the DME that needs to be hooked up as well? Thanks!

Funny you ask - just asked my boss for days off! I'll do 2 of the 3 BHF events with Badger Bimmers. I also want to do a couple of the PCA events too, including the May 5th and 6th at Road America.

The rallye in April should be fun too.
                          Cheers,

                          David

                            bumping this up.

Mine is mounted in the stock location. there is alot of slack in the cable so i think it doesnt work because of it. should i just cut it so its a snug fit to the throttle or does it need some slack? im not sure how the cruise modual works.
                            NEED SOME VINYL STICKERS???

I was running into a similar problem with mine. I routed the cable differently. I don't have the car here with me but I either ran it behind the booster and looped it back down to the throttle body or I routed it just behind the resevoir. Either way it took up all the slack and my cruise works great.

i cant see how running it in a different way will take up the slack. its like a bike brake line. i guess ill just try putting an RC collet on it and seeing it it works
