well i think i got my mounts set right. the little nubs on the mounts are in the inner holes, and everything is nice and flat so im guessing its good. i had to shim up the drivers side 1/4 of an inch. the tranny mount is not going to work with the stock mounts trent said would work are not going to. so ill have to build it up or buy the one on here.

Looks pretty cute. Needs a snail sitting in the engine bay though. :)

What did you use to clean that engine and everything off with?

Some say aircraft coating remover blows everything out of the water.

Others use degreaser and a pressure washer. I've used that combination (used car trade ins FTW) to clean up engine bays but I wonder about the grimier stuff.

Lookin' sick. I need funds to do this grrr...

aircraft paint remover is such a bitch to work with...if you dont get it all off, it turns rock hard, and is even harder to get off than paint...

For the motor I used some Tough Stuff (Sodium Hydroxide) and also a pressure cleaner. then before i painted the block i used Naval Jelly to get the rust off so the paint will stick.

Now the engine bay.... on the passenger side i used 8 cans of brake clean only because i didnt want to move the car out of the garage because its on a hill. after the waste of brake clean and my tirering arm i pull the car out and pressure cleaned it. and surprisingly it was very easy to pull in.

The plan is to have the swap FINISHED tomorrow. we will see.
For people using the 260, what cover (if one is used) is used to cover the visable flywheel from the tranny and engine by the exhaust manifolds?
