Ok so I went by Rennsport and picked up a few parts and when I looked at the motor mounts I got a little disappointed. Everyone is saying e28 m5 motor mounts when what it looks like is people are using 2 driver side mounts since the e28 M5 uses 2 different ones.

I used a 240 for my swap, so just to clarify you need an e36 325i driveshaft with an e30 center bearing, not a e30 driveshaft. You can also use the e30 325i shift linkage, it doesn't have to be custom. I also used the 240 throwout bearing, I don't know anything about the euro 323i bearing, was I supposed to use this? The 240 clutch and dual mass flywheel will also work if you are a cheap basterd like me.Comment

I used a driveshaft from a 88 325is....fit no problem just needed to be stretched @ the center a bit. 1 other swap i know of using the 240 trans used the same driveshaft. i guess people using the 240 have options eh?
Mine had to be, i tried the e30 325i shift linkage and it was too short.:(Originally posted by 02stuYou can also use the e30 325i shift linkage, it doesn't have to be custom.
Since you stayed with a dual mass flywheel the 240 TOB will work. i switched to the m20 single mass so i had to use the euro 323i TOB.Originally posted by 02stuI also used the 240 throwout bearing, I don't know anything about the euro 323i bearing, was I supposed to use this? Went today and took out the old booster and install the pedals and run the line for the clutch master cylinder. Since the alarm/stereo shop decided to install everything inside the lower panel it made getting the pedals in a lot of fun. Few questions I have after taking out the ECU wiring.
What do I do with the black and white plug that are by the ECU?
Do all the small positive terminals bolt to the main power block above the tray?
And what should I do about the air sensor?:nice:Originally posted by 325Projectzdon't listen to the diagram... listen to mr. swiss.Comment
