E23 is hyrdoboost or whatever they call it. E23 won't work.

Nope, they're all the same. Don't take my word for it, verify on realoem.com. You'll find the exact same brake booster/MC on the 735 and E34 M5 (I wonder what others?) and the booster only on the iX (which really means it's the last car you should try to look for, since it's rare and doesn't have the 25mm MC).Comment

So does anyone else realize that the 735i brake booster/master cylinder is the exact same booster as the iX, and the exact same master cylinder as the E34 M5??? Everyone seems to be hounding for only those two specific ones, which are uber rare used, when you could simply find a junker 735i and have the complete assembly....Comment

yeah real oem says they're the same auto and manual thanks you two!No more e30s for me.

My POINT is that the E30 fork and the IX fork are different pieces. If you use the 7ser or the regular E30 forks your brakes will not work properly. I am not saying they will not perform optimality, they will actually lock up while driving the car. The 7ser and the regular E30 forks are longer and you can not get the correct amount of adjustment out of them. which in turn will keep the brakes slightly ingaged and cause the ABS pump to lock up either the front drivers side or the rear passenger side of the car. I know this from experience, trust me.
If you have access to a tap and die set you can run the threads through the 7ser or E30 fork and shorten the back side to an overall length of 40MM. Or just order PN 35 21 1 158 439, i want to say they are $5-$10 with no work."A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith alone does not prove anything."
