Definitely a blast. Any ideas what these two plugs by the old ECU go to now that the old harness is gone?

Crank position sensor. If the DME does not see a signal from the crank sensor, you wont have fuel or spark.

If you lack fuel and spark totally, it's the CPS or the ECU.

Is your check engine light coming on?

It is always on when I turn the key, at least on the old engine. But I didn't pay attention to it this time. And this is a 92 M50 nv, it doesn't have EWS AFAIK.

Also forgot to mention . I pulled the connector off of one of the coils and put a test light to it. Going from left to right, the first pin in constant hot, nothing from 2 and 3.

The green wire to each coil is the trigger.

Your CEL can tell you a lot... figure out what it's doing and get back to us.

EWS should not be an issue.

I went by the dealer and bought the DME relay, talked to a tech there and he said CPS as well, told me what it should read if it is good and t try that if the relay doesn't do it. I had already ordered a CPS just for good measure and the salvage that I bought the engine from garaunteed the engine to run, so they are soucing anonther 402 DME. I hope the relay works.

Check your grounds, lots of things need to be properly grounded.

                            Check these:
                            - DME Main Relay (5 pin)
                            - DMe properly grounded.

Is your fuel pump turning on ? if so . Then your not getting gas because something related at the harness.

                              Pump never turns on.
