Is there a horn inside the tophalf of the M30 airbox similar to the one in the m20b25 airbox?

Do #12 and #13 go onto the inlet of the airbox?

                Cheers

Is there a big gain by using this type of airbox as opposed to just an open cone filter? Seems like alot of work if there's only gonna be minimal gains.

i felt the loss of power clear as night and day, after the engine compartment heats up during the summer

I notice everyone has two little ports on their E36 elbows. ONe is for a line from the idle circuit, and the other???

                      Check the two ports (circled)

I have an elbow with only one port. This gives me clearance issues with the brake master cyl. The port for the line coming from the idle control valve is too close to the end of the MC, so that I can't connect the hose. If I had two holes, I could just stick the hose in the one further around.
                      Help please? Part number?
                      TIA.

                      I got my airbox now. 40AUD, off a 535. I'm happy!

                        no room

Good to see the a/c box is getting worked out. If I see everthing correctly you have remote brake/clutch reservoris. I think you need to slot the orginal brake master at the firewall as other member have done or retain the orginal power booster/master cyl (25mm master) . Look at this thread and the part about knotching the intake manifold to give yourself all the room you need and NO shims under front mounts. good luck joe

Other than aesthetics, this cant yield a big gain power wise. It does look sweet as fuck though.

Out of curiosity, does it sound mean? Like deep and throaty?

in addition to cooler IAT which are always helpful the bigger volume of the airbox may also come into play though not exactly sure in what way
