The E30 oil level check control is governed by 3 pins.
Pin 1: Static
Pin 2: Dynamic
Pin 3: Gnd
On the C101,
Pin 2: Static oil level (resets oil light)
Pin 10: Dynamic oil level (triggers oil light)
On the 525i oil level sensor:
Pin 1: Dynamic
Pin 2: Gnd
Pin 3: Static
To defeat the oil light just take the resistance of the oil level sensor pin 1 to ground, and use a resistor of that same value to ground.
I'm not sure how you can trigger the E30 light because it's not just a simple on/off switch; I guess it uses a mechanically coupled switch, when one goes off the other goes on. I don't have much electrical knowledge, but I'm sure someone could help you out.
