Well it will be my issue now. My experience from the ref's down here in SD has been much better. I will put the stock injectors, MAF and ecu in and try to pass doing that for the first round.

By law the serial number has to be cast into the block and by law he has to look at it. It doesn't matter if there is a vin tag or not. And he was probably having a shitty day about the check engine light thing, thats BS. Either way, he goes off of the cast-in serial number.
The serial is super deep under the intake manifold. That and it's next to impossible to read without a can of WD-40. The only thing I could read was "3 2". Luckily that's all I needed to read.
