Wow, It is like you have actually done what I have planned! Amazing! The way you have the roll bar go into the seats, I have never seen it before but have always thought it would be a great idea. And +1 on the euros, Love them! Good job man!

I tried to make the car look old school euro and do performance mods to help out for autocrossing.Comment

The roll bar was added for safety first vs. looks. At first I didn't care for the look but it grows on you or at least it grew on me.
The cross bar is removable if I need to put people in the back seat. In the beginning I would remove the bar between autocross events but for the last few years I just use the car as a 2 seater and leave the bar in.Comment

Wonder what's stiffer a Z3 or an e30 vert? I know it's there as a functional piece since CCA doesn't allow squat on the track without a roll bar. Is it a welded in piece or just a standard bolt in?Comment

My guess would be the Z3 is stiffer although I've heard that the E30 was the last chassis designed on a drafting board before BMW moved to CAD which would mean that E30 was over-engineered.
Yes, for sure BMWCCA would not allow this car to participate in any of their HPDE events.
So, I haven't tracked this car but I believe other organizations like SpeedVentures or NASA would probably allow my car especially if I run it with the hardtop installed.Comment
