      I'm running EWS II on my '84 E30 M52 Euro swap. Got the pin-outs from Ian Haynes, and it fired first turn...

        Sorry to dig up an old thread and also hijack but i was wondering if anyone could point out how the ews modules pins are numbered as i dont have the connector. this is for an m44 from a z3 engine but it definately has ews ii

          why do people still want EWS? For these cars, its such a simple system that you could jump the signal wires between the module and bypass the system completely....making it completely worthless.

          If you want to have fun with wiring and have an anti-theft system, why not wire in a hidden fuel pump kill switch? There are many other easier approaches than using an outdated antitheft system.

            Don't think you understand ews2 and above. You can't hot wire around it. Yes you may be able to get the starter to fire but the ecu won't ever fire fuel/spark.
