I suggest keeping a spare relay in your fuse box though - I burned one out after sitting in traffic for 5 hours on a hot day, fortunately it didn't happen until I was in my garage.

"Fan delete mod"
Did what some call the "fan delete" mod today. Of course, I already had no mechanical fan but I went ahead and installed the lower temp thermostat and fan switch and I couldn't be happier! No more need for me to run the fan by pressing the button and the car stays cool as a cucumber. If you haven't done this, do it.
