Not any kind of snobby remark in there, and the poster above me asked "I don't know what our problem is" I gave my opinion, didn't say I was right.

Don't be an asshole. Anyway, no point bickering and taking up room on this thread.

Also, I just left my throttle heater switch thinger hanging out on the frame rail.
Just from observations, Most American's don't like to admit they're wrong. Or be wrong for that matter. American doesn't want to convert to metric because they think that their way is better. Not to mention trying to teach an entire population something completely different from what they're used to.

    Just my opinion.

    330i transplants

    Hi all
I have joined this forum because I am looking to install a 530i M54 engine (all alloy) into my 316i E30. I will be using the car for rallying again following a successful year on the BMW Rear Wheel Drive Challenge. 4th overall and 1st BMW on the Tempest last weekend.
I am looking for around 240bhp from an engine that weighs no more than my current M20B25.
I have bought a 2002 530i saloon with a manual gearbox for not a lot of money and will get it on the dyno before removing the engine and box for transplanting.
As anyone done a 330i transplant into the E30. I am obviously trying to pick a few brains on this one.

    Many thanks
    Toni

Does the Reinz engine block gasket kit have the o-ring for the dipstick? Do I need a different o-ring for the E34 dipstick, or will the one that comes with the E36/M50 kit work?

Haha yeah, good old -38C (About -36F for you guys stuck in the stone age;))

This will be my summer car so maybe I'll just route it like that.

I have no idea what you mean.

    Yes, that is correct.
