my exhaust is the loudest raspyest damn exhaust ever. i cant deal with it on a DD. would probably be cool for a track car. im going to make some fly-by vids and maybe some in-car.

I am feeling the same way.. just too damn loud and raspy..

I'm working on my swap now. 92 non-vanos m50. So far I have ebay headers. I'm thinking I will run dual 2 or dual 2.25 with an X pipe and a flow master 50 series suv it has duals in and out (2.25) Model: 524554. what do you guys think? 2 or 2.25 piping? x pipe close to the headers? and flex pipe or joint? what do you think of the muffler? looking for somthing deep sounding would like it too not sound like my raspy m42.

How is the sound inside the car on the road? I have a rusted out stock system that is about as loud inside as I want it to get. Kind of sounds like a mustang on the inside of my car (nothing like a stang on the outside). Quiet enough on a DD for a 45 min commute?

Mine is ebay headers to dual 2.25" with an X-pipe out to a B&B muffler.

Its got a deep sound at idle and deeper than some other set-ups I've heard but there still is some rasp.

So guys, right now, with the stock M20 and cats, my UUC System U is wayyy too loud and droney.

Would you expect it to be the same after i swap in an M/S50?

I've heard this exhaust on the E36's they're made for and they don't sound this loud. But, i can't imagine it making that much of a difference after the swap.

Are 24v motors quieter coming out the exhaust?????? lol

Think I'm going to go with a magnaflow 11378. should be cheaper then the flow master. also you guys have flex pipe, flex joints or just solid from the headers to the tips?

solid as in no flex pipe? I have a few joints in mine with no flex pipe
