I have the vibrant streetpower muffler 2.5" pipe y-pipe off SS rep headers, and a magnaflow high flow convertor (shop in PA wouldnt hang it without a cat), but it helps keep the sound in check and flows a hell of a lot better than the e30 convetor that was on it. I do miss my borla a little, cause this thing makes little kids cry.
I have to say that you really cant tuck the pipes of the SS headers up any closer to the unibody, mine nearly touch the underside of the floorpan. Its just the way it is and it will be a little low if you want to run a big pipe. I used to have triangle flanges on my headers and they would scrape over speed bumps, havent had an issue with my new exhaust.

I am running H&R Race springs which doesn't help the situation. If you look in the photo below of the Ebay headers I think if you cut right near the collector for each bank of tubes welded a flange there and then bent a tube with a more aggressive angle that would allow you to clock the first bend on a different plane and give a tighter fit to the underside of the car. There is a lot of potential for interference in that area so I don't know if its possible.

Here are two pictures on this thread. I didn't take them, Greg at MBS did, beat me to it!

Sorry I never came to get the m52 headers, I just thought I'd save some money, as this was kinda expensive.

If I was doing it again I would have them cut the ebay headers and weld a flange on then bend a tube with a tighter fit to the underside of the car. Post some photos of your setup

Just an update regarding my side exit exhaust:
My s50b32 with stock Euro headers, dual 2.25" mandrel bent tubing, and a Magnaflow dual 2.25" muffler was reading 105db at Thunderhil a couple weeks ago.
It got me black flagged once so I had to lift a little sooner down the main straight to keep the noise down.
