you can fit it w/ and w/o it. i don't have the condenser tho.
no problem unless your rad support is damaged/bent inward in some way. I had a good 1/2" clearance on the puller. My new car is somewhat bent and couldn't fit it...it could but it was too close for me so i sold it and bought a pusher that is like 3x more powerful. No more e30s for me.

Hmm, makes me think about my setup more. I am planning on running from my VAC oil block to an external filter to the stock e30 m3 oil cooler. Compared to your setup it doesn't sound like mine will be cool enough... What temps are you running at?I had a Mocal cooler up in front of the radiator (sharing the front of the radiator with my fan). I5t was suggested I relocate it out from in the front of the radiator. I bought a Setrab cooler that is about 6 inches square and put it behind the passenger headlight (removed lights). I am thinking of putting another one below it under that shelf over there. Will know more after hitting Road Atlanta and Watkins later this month...but temps will be less than they normally are in Texas.

The stock E30 cooler is bigger than what I am running. My temps with the other cooler were 250-260...I saw 275 this last weekend.
You realize the E28 M5 is an easy swap on the E30 M3 and offers a bigger cooler right?Comment

I've got the summit racing fan on my car (16"x4" 2500cfm) as a pusher. I have it mounted in front of the condenser and it is as large (in both dimensions) as it can possibly fit. There is literally 1mm of clearance between the front of it and the bumper. Assuming the condenser is gone, you should be able to fit at least another inch and maybe two inches.
Here's mine: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=skuComment

If the e30 cooler is larger than your setup, why are you playing around with an oil cooler behind the headlight?
I didn't even think about using the m5 cooler. I'll have to look in to that.
I'll probably run the e30 m3 oil cooler for now then swap to the m5 unit if I need more cooling since I already have a brand new m3 one.

Didn't like the airflow characteristics with the FG bumper I had with the cooler in stock location. Wanted more protection for the cooler. Headlight is not installed on my car, so it is not exactly "behind" the headlight just located behind where the headlight would be. Shoudl be good direct airflow there. Not sure what the problem is.Comment

Turns out im popping the HVAC fuse. I went to throw the heat on last night cause it was cold out and the blower didnt work. Nor did my fan with the a/c button. FUCK. its already a 30 amp
Any ideas?-ChrisComment

35 amps?
You might just need get in there and create a seperate circuit for the fan using one of the spare fuse slots, shouldnt be too complicated, maybe just a little time consuming running your own wires and keeping it look factory. Maybe use one the extra spaces above the radio where the fader/hazard/defrost switches areComment

Have any of you guys purchased the "Fan Relay Harness with 185 degree Thermostat" for the Spal units?
Description from site:
I'm trying to figure out where and how this 3/8inch stainless steel pipe is installed. The thermostat is designed to turn the fan on at 185 degrees and off at 165 degrees. The thermostat, a 3/8-inch stainless steel pipe thread, can mount in the cylinder head of the engine, radiator neck or anywhere in the engine compartment where an accurate temperature reading can be recorded.
I am going back and forth with a sales person and he says it can be mounted in the "intake or the bottom of the radiator"
I have no fucking clue what he means...IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here

Sounds to me like it's a stainless steel temp sensor that is threaded with a 3/8" pipe thread. Just like a regular temp sensor. I guess this one has a sort of switch built-in?
Just mount it anywhere you have a 3/8" pipe thread. The thing is, the sensors on the head have a regular thread (M12?) and they are gasketed. No pipe thread. You could tap it to fit but if you get the depth of the thread wrong, it'll never seal.Comment

BavAuto (and probably other places) has an 80C thermoswitch that will thread into one of the bungs on the radiator. That and an SPAL relay kit (when using an SPAL fan) will getter done. For other fans you can use a generic 30A relay, available at any auto parts house. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
