On a sidenote he is a really nice guy and talked to me for a while about getting my car to pass emissions, what other stuff i would need, and obdI vs obdII. If he will talk to me that much without me paying him anything, i can only imagine how good their support is after i buy the harness.

Yeah, I called once and got my ear talked off, if a mildly mechanically inclined person wanted a 24v, the best thing to buy would be the thr adapter, just for the background support via the telephone that comes standard with it.

Go with THR, it might cost twice as much but the quality is there and so is the support. You will prob need to order eyeballs from them anyways to have clearance for your exhaust.

+1 on the thr unit, the akg's have a bad rap for quality

and +2 on thr's customer service, I called and got help and didn't even buy anything!

bimmerworld is ~ $200 to get the ews deleted, the 2x rear O2 sensors (you NEED the fronts) and come engine lights like the secondary air pump or what not. its what i'll do when i loose the keys i have for my dme. they can also tune the ecu but that's extra.

Yep what he said. I got it done and it works like a charm.

Only thing is My engine light is not connected.I`m going back home this weekend so i`m going to rewire it to see if any lights come on. (I will chime in when I do it)

I got ews, air pump and rear o2 sensors out. Car works like it never had any ews.
200$ at bimmerworld, or 365 for that and a tune.

I imagine AAW you get the 3 things done for the 200$ also.

Only thing is you have to ship/bring the dme to them.

These wiring harnesses won't work for a OBDII harness will they?

It will, you just need to get the EWS deleted, John told me the only problem it would have is the check light will stay on. That can be easily fixed though by removing the bulb

If you are going to delete the EWSII, why stay OBDII?
