The group buy was for anything....

I need them for an S50, I figured one company would have the best price on all schrick cams...

Also, does anyone know the company who does the same grind as schricks? I want to say its Sun-something. These were quality cams, with the same exact grind as the schricks... but for 300 or so cheaper.

I read on Bf.c the sunbelts put a bit more HP than the schricks did but in return the schricks put out a bit more torque than the sunbelts did. I do not remember the dyno figures that was posted but it was minimal, seems like it was in the 5hp or ft. lbs either way you went.

Also the cheapest place for schricks that I have seen was Turner Motorsports, by like a $100 bucks ($1100.00 vs $1200.00 elsewhere) from everywhere else I looked into.

Yeah, thats what I thought. Turner is the cheapest...

Hopefully my exhaust guy can get me a deal on schricks, he works as like a "dealer" for turner stuff...

The info on sunbelts is ancient, they put out more power across the power band, including torque, over schricks. Sunbelts are the way to go, they have more aggressive tunes now that will put down around 260whp on an s50 and up to 275whp on an obd1 s52.

I had never seen it before, I just remembered hearing about a cam that was like the schricks for cheaper...

With the sunbelts, is it really necessary to run the suggested springs?

Anyway I am going with the schricks. I am doing this on a budget, only reason I am even thinking of doing cams is because the time sert that was holding spark plug three in my head had failed. I figured since the head is out do it now, and spare myself the xtra install money later...

                    Thanks for the info guys.

dont go sunbelts. i had a long talk with a tech from turner. he told me that the sunbelts are too aggresive with the vanos system in turn this causes the valve to the hit the piston.

get the shricks tryed and proven with no problems. plus they are cheaper too.

Nothing wrong with the Sunbelts...contact Chris at Dr Vanos and buy his parts and you will have no issues. He know exactly how to get them dialed in.
