    Simple, affordable wideband setup?

I'd like to be able to monitor what's going on in my exhaust pipes and I'm looking for a simple setup that will give me a usable readout. A gauge, a number readout, something simple is all I need. I don't trust my ECU (long story) so I'd like to see for myself what's going on. Any thoughts?

JAW (cheap, DIY) or LC-1 ($200)

Will the LC-1 just connect up to aftermarkey gauges or how does that work?

I've seen the NGK AFX mentioned too, feedback?

LC-1 comes with its own gauge iirc. you can get a nifty little LED display for the JAW as well. NGK AFX is better than both other options IMO. slightly more expensive, but you said cheap right?

lc-1 is like 260 or 280 with its own gauge, without is 200 and you can monitor is through a laptop. JAW is a pain in the ass because you have to build its own case and the board if you chose, but it is cheap and the display is nice.

I had not heard of the JAW. Cheap is right, but looks great.

The NGK AFX is the way to go.

LC1s can be flakey and the gauge brings the price equal to the AFX, which responds faster and is more accurate.

I like my LC1, it's also been very reliable. It's all in how you wire the thing.

I don't need a pretty flashing blinky LED lights gauge either, the laptop takes care of that for me and using a datalog to tune is a lot better than a gauge.
