None taken. I don't think the reservoir runs hot at all specially with the car running. The engine's temperature runs a lot more hotter than the reservoir would ever get so it does serve a purpose. Plus, I'm still using the stock air director scoop that flows the "in motion" air towards the filter. So I think it helps a bunch.
The whole purpose of the my heat shield is to protect my filter from sucking the hot air from the engine bay. The reservoir does not get hot or anywhere near hot to influence the air around it.
Remus does sound better... but vibrant is also cost efficient! =PLeave a comment:

look at where your HOT coolant resevoir is. its bottle necking all that heat to your intake with that shield.
p.s. not meant in a dick way. just trying to help you out in your search for cold air.
OMP sells a filter that has a hose leading out the nose of it too that you can connect to your stock "cold air" intake right behind the headlamp.
