    Crank should be around 600
    Cam should be around 1500

At least those are the specs for the M42. M50 should be similar.

    I think...

The Bentley is wrong. The CPS should have a resistance of around 500 ohms. Most people get around 540 ohms.

I get 480ohms across my cps. Your fuel pump relay is 1 of the 3 on the harness I think the middle one. Try to jump that. My car would not start at first no fuel no spark turned out to be the ecm I bought had no chip in it. You could check that as well.

That could temporarily solve the fuel problem, but not the spark.

Ok, so lets see what the engine needs to run

Fuel and Spark - Not there

Why wouldn't it have fuel and spark

              Crank position sensor
              Cam Position sensor
              MAF
              ECU

              Am I missing anything?

Do you have the ground/power wires from the wiring harness close to the ecm hooked up? And hooked up right?

There are the two on the diagnostic plug. Are they both grounds?

Theres also that stray wire on the X20 side that I was told I didn't have to hook up.

I have a E36 harness non vanos. I have a big red wire that is suposed to goto the E36 fusebox.

Then on the passenger side of the harness there is 3 wires, one power that comes off the starter then 2 wires off the diagnostic port harness (those are what i'm unsure about)

                        IT'S ALIVEEEE!!!

Stupid mistake.. Again. Didn't hook up the relay power wire on the diagnostic port harness. Hooked it up, all the relays clicked, and fired right up.

this wiring stuff is giving me a headache...will this cure it...its the adapter AKG motorsports sells

I'm installing a 95 m3 motor, harness, tranny, and ecu...if I install the entire m3 harness I wont need this adapter correct..this is only if I keep the original e30 harness right

haha, that wiring was a joke, I don't know why people would even spend 200+$ on that!

Don't be afraid of wiring, it's nothing, theres enough info around to figure it out.

Orca is a good thing to have. The C101 connector basically connects inside the car, to the engine. Unless you play on swapping EVERYTHING from the M3 over, when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING, which includes the dash harness.

You'll need that connector, it's not a big deal at all, it's actually a minor thing in the swap.
