That's all fine and good if you don't mind getting ripped off for parts.

I've bought many things from members of that forum and been ripped off a few times. I try to only buy from people there if I can't find the parts anywhere else and the parts are local.

i have heard many times, lowered IX = broken half shafts due to the geometry. I could be way off on this, my comment was in jest concerning that issue

The rear subframes are very similar if not the same, I can hardly imagine they'd cause issues when lowered. I'm talking about the front geometry issue and why converting an IX to fwd is just plain stupid.

and i was talking about the front geometry. are the shafts driving the front wheels not called half shafts? I don't know much about IX's never owned one but would love to.

Oh ok, I get what you were saying. I thought you meant the rear which is why I had no idea what you were talking about.

while we are on the subject, is it true about the fronts?

functionality wise i know dumping an IX would be pointless, aside from a nasty track beast. But i think it would look pretty sick.

lowered though seems it would still function better then just making it RWD ;)

There are almost no options out there for springs and even the H&Rs I have on my car in my sig are not that low. I imagine they might cause problems though because as of last week I've developed a horrendous driveline vibration which I need to investigate further.

would be nice to just stiffen up suspension then and have a high ride height thats tight.

for the record, I agree with OP - as disliked as he seems to be by a lot of people on here - a 24v f/s section would make things easier to sort through.

I was bored yesterday and decided to read that thread he left with that ugly bitch leaning on his car. I must say it pasted the time very nicely. This is at least the third thread I came across bashing him and he still posts. I dont get it

i like this forum because of all the knowledge ive learned for my s52 swap... ill take some photos of the i sub-frame that i put on my ix .. you cant tell the difference.. and its funtions just fine....

(i) subframe, control arms, bushings, struts, and ix H&R springs with (i) bilstien sports shocks.

btw the car is not on jack stands...

But even if you change the subframe the strut towers still have IX specific geometry which sucks balls with the front wheels powered and is even worse without.

HONESTLY... i can see what your saying but the only thing i can tell you is that you have to see it for yourself. i think ill get an m20 motor and tranny stick it in let the weight set on the frame and wheels to see what happens. and work it from there. but from what i see and to my knowledge i think it will be for the better.

Changing the subframe still doesn't correct the zero caster issue.
