All good points, thanks! I gave a quick check to the flex disc on the TC/Drivshaft junction and that looked ok... It feels like an out of balance driveshaft but I have no idea why that would spontaneously happen without hitting anything... Further investigation is needed.or a dead flex disk (there are 3), bad rear u-joints, could be a CV joint but those usually click/clunk when you turn the wheel.
My hunch is an out of balance rear driveshaft or bad flex disks. the CV shafts are too small to really cause a vibration unless they were very damaged, but then they would probably just explode by that point.
And just to be clear, a failing TC wouldn't yeild a driveline vibration under load, would it?'89 325is S50 Track Montser
