Mystery plastic piece from S52 top end?

Hi gang, I'm in the middle of rebuilding an S52 engine which I purchased disassembled. While putting the top end back together, I cam across this plastic cap thing in the same baggie as the upper/vanos chain guide. I'm stumped as to where, if anywhere, this is meant to go, any suggestions?

Well this post now has 72 views and nobody alarmed, so I'm going to count it as a 'bonus part'. I'll let y'all know if anything exciting happens when I go to fire it up.

It looks like the part of the Cruise Control linkage that holds the throttle cable to the throttle linkage on the butterfly. (But, I didn't post this before, because I'm not sure.)

Is it rubber? Looks like a vacuum cap. Might be from the stock s52 intake manifold. That distribution plate where the ccv connects to, has a vacuum cap from the factory.
