    M52/G240/M20 flywheel swap

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm wanting to upgrade the clutch in my m52 swapped 318is. My plan is to use a m20 flywheel, m42 spacer, m42 tob, e36 clutch, and starter gear from a m20. Will this work? Sent from my BBB100-1 using Tapatalk

Make sure you also have the correct clutch slave cylinder. (I'm not sure which one that is.)

Sounds right, pretty sure that's what my S52 318ti had, although on second thought it was probably a G250.

In your case I suspect an E30 slave is all that would fit as E36 ones are significantly different in shape/depth.

Yeah, I thought about the g250 because it is apparently stronger but I don't like the angle change and welded shifter. I figure if the g240 fails I'll swap to a zf 5 speed. I'm currently running the stock g240 clutch and flywheel but it's too weak and slips under high load Sent from my BBB100-1 using Tapatalk

Realistically, you could probably just use an entire M20 clutch/FW setup. It's not like an M52 makes that much more power.

True true, but m52 clutch kits seem very cheap. The only issues is finding a m20 flywheel, they are impossible to source. I bought one awhile back but it turned out to be from a 325e so it's a dual mass... Sent from my BBB100-1 using Tapatalk

I have an M20 single mass with a used clutch/PP and a new TOB. PM if interested.
