pretty much everything and anything is worth more than an E30. that's not the point.
anyway, I know what Alpha-N is, I was just wondering if they were doing it with a CF intake or with the the stock airbox. I don't plan on running a MAF either way.Comment

Yeah we just installed the VAC s14 box in an e30 and tuned it Alpha-N on Friday :D
Pricey, but the power and sound are much nicer. Specially since we also installed the Eisenmann rear and Super Sprint center section.Comment

I'm looking for ~300whp. Anything over that is pure icing. Want to use my current 3" exhaust, which isn't loud at all.Comment

it's actually not that bad. there was a 700bhp/620whp ix turbo that kind of filled out the drivetrain loss curve for me. it's not linear, the % loss decreases as HP goes up, although the HP loss does continue to increase. plotting it out, 360bhp could put me at just 300awhp.
on an N/A M20 though, it kills, because the absolute value doesn't change much. it's still about 40-50hp, but you barely have 200-220 to start with.

I have a complete swap for sale by the way only thing is someone would have to come and pick it up. I don't know if it gets any better than this. Vin/title available and everything.
What are your referring to? Cost? just curious why 6.8K came to mind I guess.Last edited by 240zs30; 12-01-2012, 10:03 AM.sigpic

I think he means TIC.
it could be done, but there are so many "while you're in there's" that I doubt it would end up being that cheap. it does depend on how much you pay for the motor. sometimes good deals come up, but mostly they're overpriced. there is also wide variability in how much it costs to do engine management, although I think it's much cheaper now than it was 5 years ago.
mine is a special case but realitsically my drivetrain will probably cost nearly that before I even get a motor.Comment
