M54 swap gearbox, flywheel, starter questions.

Hey guys, I bought a 330i wreck not long ago and have finally removed the motor from the chassis! Yaaaay...
But I've had a few questions coming to mind lately - I hope someone has some experience with this.

With the M54 swap can you run the M20 gearbox with the M20 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate etc?

Will the gearbox be twisted and require a custom mount?
    As per: http://www.rmeuropean.com/bmw-e30-m50-swap.aspx

Will the M20 flywheel need machining to fit?

Will I need to run the M20 starter?
And if so, does that bolt straight up?

you should be able to, but honestly, I wouldn't want to. did your 330i come with a 6 speed? even a ZF 5-speed would be preferrable over a 25 year old E30 box.

No unfortunately it came with an auto tranny...

Part of the reason I wanted to stick with the Getrag is to keep initial costs down, but also its just such a good box even though it is so old... its got no noise and shifts perfectly every time...

The M54 has the exact same transmission/clutch/starter/mounting requirements as any other M5x or S5x motor.

I'm running a G260 with M20 clutch and starter on mine and it's fine. If you have a better transmission, use it!
