I am gathering info and parts for an S54 swap and wnt to know if i have got everything if not please let me know or point me to where i can read up on what more is needed that i missed.

Why do you want to go with drive by wire? Keep the e throttle It's far better for the s54

I like the feeling and a lot of people recommend it and i dont like the electronic throttle

what people?

the cable throttles are worse in every way imagineable. it's doable, but I wouldn't personally reccomend it. it would be better to retune the stock throttle curves if you don't like the way it responds. the US throttle tune is weak.

the cable conversion also costs like 3x as much.

E46 M3 pump is almost a perfect fit into the late E30 pump carrier.

But, I do wonder if a new stock E30 pump would be fine. It might not like supplying 5 bars of pressure though..

Your also missing the redone oil pan, tiny T is an A+++++, and headers. Radiator etc. While the motor is out I would at least change out all the Rod Bearings and Rod bolts. Also look into the Vanos Unit....

I have talked to tinyT and ill be getting the custom subframe but i didnt know he made the headers and radiator. And as for the vanos im going to just do the maintenance on it till i decide to get a cam then ill be doing the VAC vanos delete. Ill look into the rods and bearings
