I wish there were Californians that would post their s54 builds. I love these swaps. They look right at home! Good job man!

Nice hope to get mine done by the end of the summer. Looking at your list it pains me how much more I still need to buy. I have a 3.46 as well, sometimes I wish I went even lower.

                3,46 is perfect!
I have it in my s54 6 speed e30 and love it.

Dhithim, no stock headers don't fit. The cats on them are enormous and won't fit between the motor and body

I wonder if there are any BAR'd E30 CA swaps here. Thank you for your answer but the truth has now crushed any hopes on doing this swap. :( Although the guy with the E36 gives me hope

What suspension and tires do you have? I had a 3.46 in my s54 e30 m3 with a zf 5 speed and LOVED it! The ZF has very similar gearing 1st-5th compared to the m3 6 speed. I had 255/40/17s out back and had an 8300 rpm rev limit, car was VERY quick!

3.73 would be annoying with a 5 speed, but with a decent size tire and a 6 speed it would be a riot!

No, but it is doable. There are a couple CARB legal e36 swaps.

Ground control coilovers with 17x8 arc 8's, toyo 245/35 tires and a 8200 rev limit.

I really wouldn't want to go any shorter on the gearing

Quick question how did your Top Speed Headers Fit? It looks like a really good solution, more expensive then the Ebay headers but still way cheaper then all the other options. I was about to buy these and remembered that you posted about them in your thread. Any issues?

Fit well for me, bought through clown shoe motorsports so they made sure to get me a set that fit. Besides guaranteed fitment on the more expensive headers, there are literally no differences between these and the SGT headers which are the next cheapest at 8-900, even the other brands that are 1100+. Except for the arc asylum headers which are a bit different design and are hand made awesomeness with A+++ welds. The welds on the topspeed headers are really pretty decent. I did have to cut away some sound deadening to get one of the O2 sensors on but I had to do that was my m52 as well

I come from the American muscle world...there is absolutely no reason why big name brand really nice v8 headers are 600 and straight 6 bmw headers from whoever tuning are 1200...
Don't even get me started on cam prices :/
