    N52 swap E30 build

    Hi Everyone, been thinking about N52 swapping my E30 for a while now. Finally got a donor X3. So what do I need to keep from the X3 before I part it out?

    Not much besides the engine. You'll want to grab the EKP module because I think X3 is the correct CAN protocol. Otherwise engine and some spare wire.

      Grab the IVM and all it's connectors, I think some of the X3s had them. Make sure you get the X60001 connector, it's the gray 26 pin in the small ECU connector, should run to the bodyside wiring. Also electric pedal with connector/pigtail.

      When you pull the EKP I'd try to pull as much of the twisted pair for the CAN signal as you can, I used probably 10'ish to run from glove box area to the backseat cavity. hoveringuy​ posted the pins you'll need to order in the N52 swap discussion thread, they're cheap so you might as well re-terminate what you can to avoid splices.
