    offset question

i really like these rims... but im not sure if they would work with my car. i know the offset for the IX is different then other e30's so i thought i would post them up and see if anyone could let me know if they would work.

    thanks,

    Brandon

well, he doesn't say what the offset is, but a negative offset 8" wide wheel doesn't have a chance. an 8" wheel needs between ET30-ET36 to fit an ix. a 7" wheel needs between ~25-40.

those just have an insane lip on them. Find a place to get smaller lips and you're fine. With a smaller lip, you add +12.7mm of offset per inch of reduction. Plus that wheel looks bigger than 8" wide, with a 5 inch lip, that sure doesnt look like 3 inches to the ground.

Either way, those don't look right

emailed the guy this is what he said:

          Hi,

The exact offset is unknown, although I measured from the MOUNTING surface on the rear of the wheel-from that point to the OUT LIP of the wheel (very edge of the outer lip) is 6" Therefore, it is a negative offset. If you measure on YOUR vehicle from the mounting hub outward-these wheels will extend "poke" out appx. 6 (six) inches from your hub. I hope that gives an idea of the 'offset'

The wheels are USA made SPECTRUM Custom Wheels manufactured in 1996.

          Thanks for your interest,
