    ABS Problem :-(

My abs light is on, and i am trying to find out why.

I have masured the sensors at the wheels and they seem fine. (between 980 and 1000ohm)

Are there any way to test the abs control box and the Accelerator sensor

Or is it just a case of replaceing it and seeing what happens?

Yea the ABS light just means it's turned off due to a problem or it's not hooked up. Check relays and stuff. Sometimes the sensors themself go bad and will start kicking your foot off the brake at low speeds.

I'd start with the relay under the kickpanel. Pull the aluminum cover off, and you'll see if the fusible link is still good or not.

          Hi

          Thank you for the advice.

          I will check

It is an 88 325ix touring

Is it too unlikely that it could be either the control box or the acceleration thing?

I think the ix is the only to have this odd acceleration thing?

is it on right when you turn on the car, or after you drive for a few minutes?

and yes the ix is the only one with the acceleration sensor. it also has a different ABS computer, and 4 wheel sensors instead of 3.

It is on as soon as the ignition is on and stays on.

I will check the posible problems tomorrow and report
