325ix registry - submissions needed!

I've been wanting to create a new "registry" for the remaining 325ix's for a long, long time. I've finally had a chance to complete it!

Eventually it will be a searchable database (year, body style, color, etc), but right now it's hosting for 5 pictures (more if you make multiple submissions) and information/stories you'd like to share on your 325ix.

Ideally I'd have every 325ix in the database, but for now you can help by adding yours. :)

If you add your VIN (which will never be shared!) I want to add a VIN decoding script later on, showing a bit more detail.

hopefully I've got all the bugs worked out.. let me know if yours doesn't work.

I'll have to get the VIN for the diamond black 89. I noticed the info on your homepage isn't exactly accurate. There were 4 door 88's for the USA. There was just recently one on craigslist here in Portland. I called the owner and he said it was not imported, Canadian or otherwise.

It had to be a gray market car. There were definitely no 4 door ix's in 88 for the US. Canada is the only country to get a diving-board 4-door ix.

88 model year - USA, 2 door only, Canada, 4 door only.

I wish I had got the VIN for it. I'll have to do some more research to prove you wrong. ;) There's also specs in the 88 E30 owner's manual for US 88 4 door iX's.

probably because the manual for US/Canada was the same.

I'm 100% sure there was never a 4-door 88 ix in the US, unless it was a gray market car. I've seen hundreds of 2-door 88 ix's over the years, never a 4 door unless it was canadian.
