Hate that ad. Pictures sideways? and small. No way I would bid that without a PPI.

well its worth what someone is willing to pay for it ,that being said the E30M3 prices are going thru the roof for good low milage examples (18-20k) and the E30IX is even more rare so it will be interesting to see what it sells for

Well, it's a clean California iX which in itself is rare and means it hasn't seen any salt and hardly seen any real inclement weather. So it's probably a very nice example.

FYI, they made almost twice as many iX's than they did M3's.

do you happen to know how much the E30 M3 was new? I read an old Car & Driver mag, and it said the iX was $34K stickered. Also i don't remember who told me, or if it was even true, but someone did mention to me once, that optioned out new from the dealer (w/ heated seats etc)...that the iX was more than the M3. I found that one hard to believe though.

M3 were about 33-38K range, 325iC's were all the way into the 40's.

The M3 only came fully optioned here in the US so it was about that...$34K. The iX's came with the spoiler kit, 15" wheels, sports seats, OBC, winter package (ski pass?) so they were pretty optioned out as well if I'm not mistaken, on top of the base "iX" package. So, yeah I can believe it...same with the M tech verts.

My run of the mill 325iC with heated seats, LSD, and a few other options came out to a little over $39k. To give you an idea.

I saw that car on bringatrailer.com yesterday, i thought that price was crazy, but it is already getting pretty close. Guess I was wrong on the worth of a clean IX.

There were more M3s imported than ix's in the us.

Where can those figures be found?

I love when e30 prices soar. Granted, the high ask prices and sold cars are from orginal examples in mint condition, like this one on bimmerforums: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...t-1722737.html
