    5 speed tranplant. Help

    Hello all e30 lovers. I need some help i am mewbie here. I am trying to swap my ix auto to 5 speed . What parts do i need for the transplan?. Thank in advance to all my e30 lovers.

    transfer case
    5-speed pedals (specific to whether or not you have an airbag or non-airbag car)

      clutch master/slave, hardline, softline, etc.

      basically besides the trans/transfercase, you need the parts required to operate the clutch.

        +1 buy them new too, while you're in there. cheap insurance. Also do yourself a favor and buy a new clutch too. It saves yourself the hassle of worrying about it down the road.

                  It's similar to a normal e30 / just about any other 5 speed swap, plus the transfer case.

                  Having done this on a few different cars besides the e30, BMW makes it very easy to install the new clutch pedal.

                    Also, I don't know about this for e30's (I've never personally had an auto one), but is the brake pedal any wider as usual with autos? If so, you'll need the skinnier one to fit with your clutch pedal.
