Just to clarify = So as far as IX 5spd swaps are concerned the only IX-specific parts required are the transmission (or specifically the rear case), transfer case (or specifically the front case) + shifter lever?

    Did I miss anything?

Looks like I won't be going through with my 5spd IX swap; I am going to list it for sale shortly & have the majority of the parts you need:

    - 5spd tranny
    - 1x 5spd transfer case + 2x additional auto transfer cases as spares
    - almost new flywheel
    - good clutch disc & pressure plate
    - clutch master & slave + hard/soft lines
    - 5spd pedal assembly w/brake light switch (no-airbag)
    - new synthetic tranny fluid 2L
    - new guibo
    - new throwout bearing & pilot bearing

I also have a 5spd shifter assembly from an "i" but it turns out that the "ix" shifter assembly is slightly different. Will throw it in with the whole package if requested.

PM me to discuss it more in detail.

Between the both of you, you've answer my question - thank you.

Also, I don't know about this for e30's (I've never personally had an auto one), but is the brake pedal any wider as usual with autos? If so, you'll need the skinnier one to fit with your clutch pedal.

It's similar to a normal e30 / just about any other 5 speed swap, plus the transfer case.

Having done this on a few different cars besides the e30, BMW makes it very easy to install the new clutch pedal.
