    Auto to Manual swap

Curious how rough this would be to do on the 89 ix I picked up about a month ago. Currently auto and I want it to be manual for future v8 swap reasons

What all would I need besides tranny, pedal assembly....

Yes Im new to BMWs so thats why Im asking.....

Car in question and what I picked up

I'm almost done with this and so far it has cost me
        325 for transmission
        425 for transfer case
150 for fly wheel, all gear shift components including shift nob and transfer case cross member and the reverse cable
50 for the clutch pedals and clutch cylinder
        503 for the clutch kit
that's all you need for the swap but it can be real hard to find

V8 swap? you may as well just leave it automatic, because you won't be able to use anything from a 325ix anyway.

if you're not keeping it AWD with a V8, just get a different E30.

thought about that also....been throwing up the idea of seein if i could trade off the ix for a another sedan to do a lsx swap...but then i really dont wanna get rid of the AWD. Also thinkin bout maybe swappin it to a manual and puttin a snail on it for a little fun. So many things to think about :ohsnap:

like I said, if you're wanting to swap a V8, you can't even use any of the 325ix stuff anyway. a Turbo would make a lot more sense if you want to keep the AWD.

but it is possibly to swap auto to manual with the ix right?
