    Go with 3.91 Diffs?

I have a five speed conversion with 4.10 diffs, and I have an opportunity to get both front and rear 3.91 diffs for $350. What do you guys think?

The car is geared very low as you know, but I don't do much highway at all. Is it worth the change for a city car? I do hit 80 almost every day tho.

I spent 6K on the car, and I have no plans of selling her. Actually she is in for a respray this summer.

    Thanks

its about a 5-6% difference between 3.91 and 4.1, so at 75 mph say you are doing 3750 rpm you would be at 3562.5 rpm for 75 mph with the 3.91.

At the same 3750 rpm, you would also be closer to 80 mph with the new diffs, a difference of ~4 mph over the 4.10s.

I've got 4.10 in mine and its ok. Tire size and engine modifications come into effect too... The question then becomes, is it worth it to you? Keep in mind slower acceleration and slightly better fuel economy.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

i love the 4.10 w/ my manual. had the 3.91 on my last ix, and it felt completely diff, esp off the line and the torque. Uses a bit more gas, but i like the trade off.

I don't think there's going to be much of a difference in RPMs. $350 isn't a bad deal though. I've been considering it for a little while now, but I like being able to pass basically in any gear without having to downshift.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I will save my money for a respray considering the limited difference.
