In if the price is right, and can be used for the 21mm bar.
should work with any bar. I'll have to ask that people specify which diameter they want to use, and just order the right diameter bushing for that.
personally I think 21mm is the best choice, but the person who sold mine listed it as a 21mm when in fact it's a 23mm - so I'm just going to work with what I have for now. the bushings aren't that expensive and neither are the bars so I can always switch to the 21mm later after I confirm that it works in the first place. :)
no, it does not. even on a RWD E30 the conventional wisdom has long been known to be false. a giant rear swaybar on an ix with no concurrent front upgrade has many significant issues.
anyway, dropped my brackets & spare subframe off at the fabricator - cool guy. he even knew what a 325ix was. :p
he said he'd be finished tomorrow, but I'd be happy with the end of the week. I'll have to try to test fit them this weekend and make sure it actually works. if it does, then we can set up some sort of group buy.
cost should not be expensive. basically the cost of the brackets, labor, and the cost to make a prototype / how many are made. possibly may have them powdercoated as the zinc coating will be damaged when they are modified.
my goal for this is to be able to run a bit softer spring rate up front without causing understeer due to dynamic camber issues (extreme body roll = bad).
I have a lead on a small local fab shop that could possibly modify the aftermarket brackets. going to take a bunch of parts in and see what he thinks the cost would be. Thinking maybe 10 sets - if you're interested, please post in this thread!
